Job Overview: Senior Manager Finance Business Partner
We're seeking an experienced Senior Manager Finance Business Partner to join our team on a remote basis. As a key member of our finance team, you'll play a vital role in providing leadership support to our business division stakeholders and executing tactical processes in partnership with our Finance Business Partner Analyst. Key Responsibilities
- Employee Development: Guide and support the ongoing development and performance of employees through coaching, mentoring, and training. Conduct timely performance reviews to ensure staff growth and success.
 - Consultative Support: Utilize a deep understanding of the business model and key drivers to provide consultative support to division leaders, recommending and backing change as a relied upon subject matter expert.
 - Strategic Support / Decision Making: Provide insightful and objective analysis to support strategic and tactical decision making. Deliver ad-hoc analysis in alignment with business unit and finance leadership objectives.
 - Effective Presentations: Contribute to the delivery of executive level presentations and narratives to enhance business result visibility and strategic insights.
 - Financial Modeling: Leverage financial models, metrics, and tools to create a common language and approach for financial planning, performance/expense management, and Monthly Business Reviews (MBRs).
 - Process Improvement: Identify process improvement opportunities to maximize capacity and improve service quality across the team. Develop new processes or implement best practices where appropriate.
 - Financial and Strategic Plans: Act as a key contributor and coordinator in the development of the annual Financial and Strategic Plan. Support interim forecast updates reflecting achievement or deviation from Plan.
 - Reporting: Lead the delivery of reporting packages of business unit financial performance versus budget and forecast, including comprehensive variance analysis explanations and Risks/Opportunities. Communicate results to finance and division leadership.
 - Facilitate Communication: Act as a liaison between business partners and other Finance divisions (FP&A, Accounting, Treasury, etc.), enabling consistency in communication and providing tactical guidance in support of both the business and finance objectives.
 
Qualifications and Skills
To succeed in this role, you'll need:
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, Economics, or equivalent work-related experience required.
 - Minimum 5 years of experience as a finance business partner, analyst, or related role with a minimum 3 years of management experience.
 - Advanced knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), Chart of Accounts, financial statements, etc.
 
Desired Qualifications:
- Financial institution experience.
 - Advanced proficiency utilizing enterprise financial planning/reporting tools; OneStream or Hyperion Essbase experience preferred.
 - CPA/CFA designation.
 - Expert level proficiency in Microsoft Office products or equivalent, (primarily in Excel including pivot tables, lookups and advanced excel formulas; expert-level PowerPoint skills) with the ability to learn new software quickly.
 - Ability to enact change amongst a team and enable cross-functional process improvement while exhibiting discretion in decision making and sound judgment in problem solving.
 - Experience coordinating and developing presentations for executive audiences.
