About the Role

We're seeking a skilled and experienced Staff Accountant to join our team on a full-time basis. As a key member of our Finance team, you'll be responsible for a wide range of accounting tasks, including financial statement preparation, budgeting, accounts payable and receivable, reconciliations, and month-end and year-end closing. Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare monthly financial statements and related reports, comparing budget versus actual performance.
  • Assist the CFO in forecasting, monthly outlooks, and other forward-looking reports.
  • Reconcile monthly cash, credit card, and sales ledgers.
  • Perform daily accounting tasks, including accounts receivable, accounts payable, revenue, cost of goods sold (COGS), asset management, and other duties as required.
  • Collaborate with various departments to ensure seamless financial operations.
  • Analyze and resolve financial discrepancies, ensuring accuracy and compliance with GAAP.

Essential Qualifications and Competencies

To succeed in this role, you'll need:

  • An Associate or Bachelor's degree in Accounting (CPA is a plus).
  • A minimum of 2 years of accounting experience; familiarity with e-commerce business and sales tax compliance is advantageous.
  • Strong organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Eligibility to work in the United States and successful completion of a background check.

Preferred Qualifications

While not essential, the following qualifications will give you a competitive edge:

  • Experience with financial planning and analysis.
  • Knowledge of financial software and systems.
  • Familiarity with budgeting and forecasting processes.
