About the Role

As a Strategic Partnerships Development Manager, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining strategic partnerships across multiple Google and Alphabet product areas. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to design and architect solutions that meet the complex needs of our customers, leveraging your technical expertise and industry knowledge to drive business growth and innovation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as a key member of the business development and Sales Deal team, ensuring critical pursuits across multiple Google and Alphabet Product Areas are won.
  • Design and create narratives and technical architectures that will be reusable across multiple engagements, driving consistency and excellence in our solutions.
  • Scope and own each customer engagement or particular solution offering, with attention towards clear and well-defined objectives, architecture plan, and success criteria.
  • Understand customer base and industry verticals, capturing and sharing best-practice knowledge among the solutions architect community and open source community.
  • Collect customer feedback and influence product direction, working closely with technical writers to ensure quality internal and external customer-oriented documentation.
  • Represent Google Cloud well within the customer's environment, driving discussions with senior personnel/executives regarding trade-offs, best practices, and risk mitigation.
  • Work with the customer and internal product technical teams to design and architect solutions that will align to multiple constraints and success criteria.

Essential Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you will need to possess a strong technical background, excellent communication skills, and a proven track record of building and maintaining strategic partnerships. The ideal candidate will have:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • At least 5 years of experience with XML, UNIX/LINUX, and networking protocols such as HTTP, DNS, and TCP/IP.
  • At least 5 years of experience in one or more of the following coding languages: Java, PHP, Python, Ruby, JavaScript, HTML 5.
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills, with the ability to communicate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.

Preferred Qualifications

While not essential, the following qualifications will be considered a plus:

  • At least 5 years of experience in implementation/consulting, with a proven track record of delivering successful projects.
  • Experience in software development, information security, database, or Internet-related industries, with a deep understanding of the technical landscape.
  • Knowledge of disk storage subsystems and load balancing technology, with the ability to design and architect scalable and secure solutions.
  • A strong passion for staying up to date on the latest technology directly and indirectly related to cloud computing infrastructure and APIs.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $205,000-$301,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
