About the Role: Technical Support Engineer - Azure Cloud Security

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Technical Support Engineer - Azure Cloud Security to join our CSS team. This role is not just about troubleshooting and resolving technical issues; it's about being a guardian of our customers' security and trust in the cloud. As a Technical Support Engineer, you will be at the forefront of our customer success strategy, working closely with our customers to understand their unique challenges and providing tailored solutions that empower them to achieve their goals securely and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities

  • Response and Resolution: You will review, investigate, and solve customer technical issues related to Azure Cloud Security, collaborating with internal teams and leveraging advanced troubleshooting tools and practices to ensure timely and effective resolutions.
  • Readiness and Development: Participate in communities with peer delivery roles to develop specific technical and professional proficiency. This includes engaging in training and readiness programs to enhance your understanding and resolution of customer issues, staying updated with the latest in Azure Cloud Security and related technologies.
  • Product/Process Improvement: Identify potential product defects and provide valuable feedback to senior engineers, contributing to the continuous improvement of Microsoft products and services. Your insights will help shape the future of our offerings, ensuring they meet the evolving needs of our customers.

Qualifications and Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need a combination of technical expertise, customer-centric mindset, and collaborative spirit. Here are the essential and preferred qualifications:

Essential Qualifications

  • 3+ years of technical support, technical consulting experience, or information technology experience.
  • OR Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology (IT), or a related field AND 1+ year(s) of technical support, technical consulting experience, or information technology experience.
  • 1+ years of Enterprise cloud experience with any of the major cloud providers, including cloud security, networking, and migration of multi-cloud or hybrid deployments.
  • Citizenship & Citizenship Verification: This position requires verification of U.S. citizenship due to citizenship-based legal restrictions.
  • Ability to meet Microsoft, customer, and/or government security screening requirements.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Microsoft Technology Certifications (AZ-900, AZ-500) and/or Security focus Certifications.
  • Prior hands-on experience supporting large and complex geographically distributed enterprise environments with 1000+ users.
  • Experience in Network Security Engineering or consulting, and/or Systems Administration with a focus on security.
  • Familiarity with endpoint security, server security, or threat analytics.
  • Knowledge of Linux OS and KQL - Kusto Query Language.

Compensation, Perks, and Benefits

The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $66,900 - $135,000 per year, with variations depending on the work location. Additionally, certain roles may be eligible for benefits and other compensation, including health insurance, retirement plans, and stock options.
