As a key player in our Manufacturing Operations team, you'll be responsible for delivering the manufacturing capabilities that bring our state-of-the-art physical infrastructure to life. As a Manufacturing Engineer, you'll assess product designs and develop the processes, tools, and methodologies that power our innovative search technology.
About the Role
As a Manufacturing Engineer at blithequark, you'll lead complex, multidisciplinary projects, designing requirements with internal clients and guiding projects through the entire project lifecycle. You'll leverage your expertise in tools, processes, and methods to build and scale high-volume manufacturing and assembly operations. You'll be a valued partner to the new product development team, providing industry knowledge, experience identifying and qualifying advanced manufacturing processes, and insight into Design for Manufacturing (DFM) feedback.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and manage the implementation of scalable manufacturing processes and systems for specific data center products, optimizing for cost, quality, and flexibility.
- Collaborate with Design, Product Management, and Operations teams to identify and address potential manufacturing detours in early development stages.
- Analyze and interpret complex production data to drive informed manufacturing strategies, identifying and implementing solutions to advance performance and efficiency across the supply chain.
- Lead the evaluation, qualification, and strategic development of contract manufacturers, focusing on future capabilities and innovation.
- Utilize Product Data Management (PDM) systems to create Bills of Materials (BOM), Approved Vendor Lists (AVL), and manage Engineering Change Notices/Orders (ECN/O), working closely with the Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) team to align forecast and BOM structures.
Essential Qualifications
- A four-year certification in Electrical Design, Cycle Design, Assembling Design, or equivalent reasonable experience.
- A minimum of 10 years of experience as an Assembling, Quality, Dependability, or Item Designer.
- At least 6 years of experience with Item Lifecycle The executives (PLM).
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in designing and implementing civil high-voltage applications in data center construction.
- Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and experience working with cross-functional teams.
Preferred Qualifications
- A graduate degree in Science or a connected field.
- Experience driving yield upgrades and process duration decreases for high-volume and high-complexity components.
- Familiarity with LEAN Assembling/5S/8D practices.
- Experience working with charging data centers.
- The ability to influence product electrical design and manufacturing processes.
- Capacity to travel up to 30% of the time.
