About the Role of a Local Truck Driver
We are seeking an experienced and safety-minded Local Truck Driver to join our team in Tarzan, TX. As a crucial part of our operations, you will be responsible for the safe transportation of Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) from our hubs to our valued customers. Role Overview and Responsibilities
As a Local Truck Driver, your primary responsibilities will include:
- Safely Transporting Compressed Natural Gas: Transport CNG from our hubs to customer sites, ensuring the safe delivery of our products.
- Operating Tractor Trailers: Operate well-maintained tractor trailers to and from off-road customer locations, adhering to safety protocols and regulations.
- Conducting Pre/Post Trip Checks: Perform thorough pre/post trip checks of operating vehicles to ensure they are in good working condition.
- Hooking Up and Decoupling Hoses: Hook up and decouple hoses to and from compression stations and pressure reduction systems, following established procedures.
- Other Duties as Assigned: Be flexible and willing to take on additional responsibilities as needed to support the team and ensure the success of our operations.
Schedule and Work Environment
Our hub location is in Tarzan, TX, and you can expect to work a schedule of 5 shifts on, 2 days off, 5 shifts on, 3 days off. You may be required to work day or night shifts, and we offer a competitive compensation package to recognize your hard work and dedication.
Requirements and Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Valid Class A CDL Driver's License: A valid Class A CDL driver's license with Hazmat (H) and Tank (N), or X endorsement is required.
- Minimum 2 Years of Verifiable Class A Trucking Experience: You should have at least 2 years of verifiable Class A trucking experience, with military experience also considered.
- Preference for Prior Oilfield Hauling Experience: We prefer candidates with prior oilfield hauling experience, but it is not essential.
- 2 Years of Experience Transporting HAZMAT: Having 2 years of experience transporting HAZMAT is an asset, but not required.
- Safety-Minded, Self-Starter, and Team Player: You should be safety-minded, a self-starter, and a team player with a clean Motor Vehicle Record (MVR & PSP) and no suspensions.
- Pass a Thorough Background Check: You must pass a thorough criminal background check, Fit-for-Duty, and D&A screen for consideration.
