Job Overview
This 100% remote contract position offers flexible hours, allowing you to complete assignments at your convenience as long as deadlines are met. You will be responsible for drafting, reviewing, and revising practical guidance articles on trusts and estates and probate topics. Additionally, you will review and update wills, trusts, powers of attorney, and related estate planning documents, as well as create new forms, checklists, charts, and other how-to guidance on estate planning topics as needed.
Key Responsibilities
- Draft, review, and revise practical guidance articles on trusts and estates and probate topics to ensure accuracy, relevance, and compliance with state laws and legal practices.
- Review and update wills, trusts, powers of attorney, and related estate planning documents to reflect changes in legislation, judicial decisions, and emerging trends in estate planning.
- Develop new forms, checklists, charts, and other how-to guidance on estate planning topics, taking into account state-specific practical guidance based on state law, local custom, and legal practice experience.
- Supplement existing documents with state-specific practical guidance to cater to the diverse needs of attorneys practicing in different jurisdictions.
- Conduct thorough research to stay abreast of developments in trusts and estates law, ensuring that all content is current, authoritative, and reliable.
Essential Qualifications
To excel in this role, you must possess the following essential qualifications:
- At least 5+ years of experience as a practicing trusts and estates attorney, with a deep understanding of estate planning, probate, and related legal concepts.
- Membership in good standing of the Louisiana State Bar, demonstrating your commitment to the legal profession and adherence to ethical standards.
- Substantive experience drafting wills, trusts, powers of attorney, health care directives, and other estate planning documents, showcasing your expertise in creating legally sound and effective estate planning instruments.
- Excellent writing, editing, and legal research skills, enabling you to craft clear, concise, and well-organized content that engages attorneys and supports their practice.

Compensation, Perks, and Benefits
The salary range for this position is $44.29 - $51.43 per hour, reflecting your expertise and the value you bring to our customer's business. Additionally, perks are available through our 3rd Party Employer of Record, including health benefits, 401k, STD/LTD, AD&D, and commuter benefits program, which become available upon completion of the waiting period for eligible engagements.
