Job Summary
We're seeking an experienced UK Accountant to manage the financial accounts of our clients, ensuring compliance with UK accounting standards and providing expert advice on tax-efficient structures. As a UK Accountant with our team, you'll be responsible for preparing financial statements, managing corporate tax returns, and providing business tax advice to clients. This is a permanent remote work opportunity, offering a competitive salary and a chance to work with a dynamic team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Financial Statement Preparation: Review and prepare financial statements from clients' books on FRS 102, FRS 102 1a, and FRS 105, including year-end accounts, bank reconciliations, and ledger reconciliations.
- Corporate Tax Returns: Manage corporate tax compliance on behalf of clients, including submission of tax returns, quality control review of tax returns, and providing business tax advice.
- Accounting Records Management: Reconcile and streamline company accounting records by inputting financial transactions into accounting software and investigating possible errors or problems.
- Tax Advice and Compliance: Provide expert advice on tax-efficient structures, manage tax compliance, and correspond with clients on tax-related matters.
- General Ledger Scrutiny: Perform general ledger scrutiny and end-of-year journal adjustments to ensure accuracy and compliance.
Essential Qualifications and Experience:
- Academic Qualifications: M.Com, CA, ACCA, or a related field.
- Experience: Minimum experience as a UK Accounts Manager or similar role.
- UK Accounting Standards: In-depth knowledge of UK accounting standards, including FRS 102, FRS 102 1a, and FRS 105.
- Taxation: Strong understanding of UK taxation laws and regulations.
- Software Skills: Proficiency in accounting software, such as Alfa tax, IRIS, and Tax Calc.
Preferred Qualifications and Skills:
- Additional Certifications: Additional certifications, such as CTA or ATT, are an advantage.
- Experience with Diverse Client Base: Experience working with a diverse client base, including investment, financial services, construction, retail, and subcontractors.
- Excellent Communication Skills: Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with clients and colleagues.
- Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills: Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and ability to work under pressure.
