About the Role

As a Customer Engineer III at blithequark, you will play a critical role in driving the success of our customers by providing expert guidance on application modernization and cloud solutions. You will work closely with our technical sales teams to identify and qualify business opportunities, develop strategies to resolve technical blockers, and provide in-depth expertise on enterprise infrastructure and cloud modernization. Your exceptional communication and presentation skills will enable you to engage with customers, understand their business and technical requirements, and persuasively present practical and useful solutions on blithequark's cloud products.

Key Responsibilities

  • Work with the team to identify and qualify business opportunities, understand key customer technical objections, and develop the strategy to resolve technical blockers.
  • Share in-depth enterprise infrastructure and cloud modernization expertise to support the technical relationship with customers, including technology advocacy, supporting bid responses, product and solution briefings, proof-of-concept work, and partnering directly with product management to prioritize solutions impacting customer adoption to blithequark's cloud products.
  • Guide customers through assessments of their existing legacy application environment(s), provide recommendations on a prioritization roadmap for application modernization, and identify opportunities for migration to hybrid-cloud computing models.
  • Structure and execute prototyping workshops to prove out proposed architectures, developing best practices, and documenting blocking requirements for prioritization with engineering.
  • Travel to customer sites, conferences, and other related events as required, acting as a public advocate for blithequark's cloud products.

Essential Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need to possess the following essential qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 10 years of experience with cloud native architecture and development methodologies, including modernizing legacy applications and application performance profiling and tuning, in a customer-facing or support role.
  • Experience with architectural design patterns, platform engineering (e.g., Infrastructure-as-Code, automation, image management or repository management), virtualization deployments, container deployments, application security, or networking.
  • Experience in, or supporting state or local government clients.
  • Experience engaging with, and presenting to, technical stakeholders and executive leaders.

Preferred Qualifications

In addition to the essential qualifications, we prefer candidates with the following:

  • Experience with developing scalable architectures using API management, microservice frameworks, and PaaS.
  • Experience with one or more programming languages.
  • Exposure to the software development lifecycle.

Compensation, Perks, and Benefits

At blithequark, we offer a competitive compensation package, including a base salary range of $142,000-$214,000, plus bonus, equity, and benefits.
