Octagon, a leading global sports, entertainment, and experiential marketing agency, is seeking an experienced Account Manager to join our Client Services team. As an Account Manager, you will play a crucial role in leading the day-to-day management of client programs, developing and implementing marketing strategies, and executing Olympic & Paralympic sponsorship activation programs for our high-profile clients.

The Role: Account Manager, Client Services

As an Account Manager, you will be responsible for leading client business and day-to-day management of client programs, including:

  • Supporting property and client teams for planning and execution of Olympic & Paralympic marketing programs
  • Running client’s Olympic & Paralympic approval management system
  • Leading all aspects of overall project management, including timelines, project management tools, budget templates, and agency integration
  • Leading key meetings with internal & external constituents and outside vendors, including driving the agenda, facilitating discussion, and clarifying next steps
  • Serving as liaison for development and implementation of Olympic & Paralympic athlete programs and on-site appearances at events as necessary
  • Supporting strategic development of client’s Olympic & Paralympic sponsorship platform and developing concepts for activation planning
  • Providing POVs and recommendations for activation opportunities
  • Leading development of Olympic & Paralympic marketing toolkit and Games sponsorship reports
  • Supporting on-budget tracking, invoicing, and reconciling expenses and fees for client work
  • Overseeing quality control of all deliverables
  • Other related duties, as reasonably assigned

Key Responsibilities

As an Account Manager, you will be responsible for:

Project Management

  • Leading multiple projects simultaneously, prioritizing tasks, and meeting deadlines
  • Coordinating with internal teams, external vendors, and clients to ensure seamless execution
  • Developing and managing project timelines, budgets, and resources

Client Management

  • Building and maintaining strong relationships with clients, understanding their needs, and delivering tailored solutions
  • Communicating effectively with clients, providing regular updates, and addressing concerns
  • Identifying opportunities to upsell and cross-sell services

Marketing Strategy and Activation

  • Developing and implementing marketing strategies to support client’s Olympic & Paralympic sponsorship platform
  • Collaborating with internal teams to create engaging marketing campaigns and activations
  • Analyzing market trends, identifying opportunities, and providing recommendations for activation

Requirements and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

Essential Qualifications

  • 3-5 years of agency/client service experience in project management and execution
  • Knowledge of and/or experience in Olympic Games or other major sponsorship properties
  • Passion for and expertise in sports, entertainment, gaming, music, and/or celebrity & lifestyle culture
  • Strategic, forward-thinking, organized, proactive, and creative approach
  • Proven success working across a combination of strategic, logistical, and tactical projects
  • Experience leading partner relationships, including vendors, suppliers, and assets
  • Experience handling and maintaining budgets

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous collaborative experience with internal and/or external groups and agencies, especially in other countries
  • Self-starter who will take initiative with new projects and work with a variety of people
  • Desire and confidence to present materials to clients
  • Proven ability to effectively problem-solve and work effectively in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (in particular PowerPoint, Word, Excel)
  • Flexibility and willingness to travel domestically and internationally, and work weekends or holidays as needed

Compensation and Perks

  • A base salary range of $60,000 - $65,000
