Job Summary
As a Customer Service Representative at blithequark, you will be the face of our organization, interacting with customers via multiple channels, including phone, email, live chat, and self-service platforms. Your primary objective will be to provide exceptional support, addressing a wide range of inquiries, from billing and proration to service changes, cancellations, and missed service issues. In this fast-paced, high-volume environment, you will be expected to handle 60-80 contacts daily, utilizing multiple applications, knowledge bases, tools, and calculators to research and resolve customer queries efficiently.
Key Responsibilities
- Field customer service inquiries and handle transactions independently, demonstrating active listening skills and confirming understanding of customer needs, issues, and requests.
- Utilize authorized systems to gather information, provide information, and update customer records, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail.
- Provide standard information and education regarding service options, charges, billing, and contracts, highlighting the features and benefits of blithequark's products and services to increase revenue and retain at-risk customers.
- Demonstrate ownership of customer issues, providing one-call resolution and exhausting all solutions before escalating queries, while serving as an advocate for customers with repeat issues.
- Communicate concise and accurate information, listening for opportunities to cross-sell additional products and services, and establishing customer accounts by negotiating and documenting service type, pricing, billing, and other required information.
- Support other service lines when required, attempting to retain customers who call to cancel services by probing for cancellation reasons and offering alternatives, while meeting or exceeding service and operational standards established for the call center.
Essential Qualifications
To excel in this role, you will need to possess a high school diploma or G.E.D. (accredited) and at least one year of previous customer service experience. As a remote worker, you will require a reasonable degree of technical aptitude to set up and maintain blithequark-assigned equipment, as well as a private workspace with high-speed internet (minimum 50mbs download and 10mbs upload) and the ability to physically connect your computer to the modem or router.
