We are looking for a highly skilled, detail-oriented Estimator to join our team. This role is 100% remote, allowing you to work from anywhere while contributing to some of the most exciting, large-scale commercial projects in the industry. What You’ll Do: • Estimate and Bid Custom Projects – Analyze drawing packages, spec books, and project documentation to develop precise, strategic bids. • Takeoffs & Cost Analysis – Use our specialized millwork estimating software Innergy and Excel to create detailed cost estimates. • Identify Risks & Alternatives – Assess material alternatives, long lead items, and project risks to ensure profitable and efficient execution. • Manage RFIs & Client Communication – Work with General Contractors, Architects, and Designers to clarify scope, generate RFIs, and refine project requirements. • Lead Scope Review Meetings – Represent Dovetail in project negotiations, showcasing expertise and reinforcing our industry leadership. • Coordinate Project Handoffs – Work with the Project Management and Operations Team to transition awarded projects smoothly. What We’re Looking For: ✔ 5+ years of estimating experience in custom millwork (experience with metals, stone, and upholstery is a plus). ✔ Expertise in reading architectural drawings, elevations, spec books, and construction documentation. ✔ Proficiency in estimating software and Excel. ✔ Ability to work independently in a fully remote setting while staying engaged with the team. ✔ Strong organizational and multitasking skills—handling multiple bids at once is a must. ✔ Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities to work with General Contractors, Architects, and Designers. ✔ Detail-oriented and able to work on high-pressure deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
