Key Responsibilities

As a Warehouse Associate at Amazon Fulfillment Center, you'll be responsible for:

• Receiving and putting away inventory in a timely and accurate manner
• Getting customer orders ready and packing them up for shipment
• Loading boxes into trucks for delivery
• Using scanners to read bar codes on products and verify order accuracy
• Following prompts on screens and directions for specific tasks
• Troubleshooting problems and reporting any issues to management
• Ensuring product meets quality requirements and adhering to strict safety standards
• Operating power industrial trucks (PIT) such as forklifts or pallet drivers, and working at heights up to 35 feet (equipment training and certification are provided free of cost)

Essential Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you'll need to:

• Lift up to 49 pounds and push utility carts up to 60 pounds
• Stand, walk, push, pull, squat, bend, and reach during shifts
• Use carts, dollies, hand trucks, and other gear to move items around
• Go up and down stairs (where applicable)
• Work at a height of up to 40 feet on a mezzanine (where applicable)
• Adhere to strict safety, quality, and fulfillment production standards

Preferred Qualifications

While not required, the following skills and experience are highly valued:

• Previous experience working in a warehouse or fulfillment center environment
• Knowledge of safety procedures and protocols
• Experience operating PIT equipment such as forklifts or pallet drivers
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
