Key Responsibilities and Job Elements

  • Leadership and Team Development: Support, mentor, and motivate your salaried and hourly workforce to achieve exceptional results.
  • Project Management: Lead large-scope projects with site and regional impact, driving improvements in productivity and efficiency.
  • Productivity Planning: Build and execute productivity plans through forecast reviews, determining productivity requirements, and partnering with other Leaders to load balance.
  • Safety, Quality, and Customer Delivery: Manage safety, quality, productivity, and customer delivery promises, ensuring that customer orders are delivered at the right time, to the right location.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Collaborate with all support teams to develop plans to meet business objectives, and communicate effectively with your team and stakeholders.
  • Physical Demands: Lift up to 49 pounds and frequently push, pull, squat, bend, and reach. Stand/walk for up to 12 hours during shifts, and work in an environment with variable temperatures and noise levels.

Basic Qualifications

To be considered for this role, you must meet the following basic qualifications:

  • A Bachelor's Degree or 2+ years of Amazon experience (blue badge/FTE).
  • 3+ years of direct management experience for employees and their performance.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule/shift/work area, including weekends, nights, and/or holidays.

Eligibility Requirements

Additionally, you must be able to fulfill the following eligibility requirements:

  • FAA and DHS criminal background checks to qualify for unescorted access privileges to airport security identification display areas (SIDA), if applicable.
  • Secure appropriate airport authority and/or US Customs security badges, if applicable.
  • Be subject to Department of Transportation (DOT) drug and alcohol testing, if applicable.

Preferred Qualifications

While not required, the following preferred qualifications will set you apart as a strong candidate:

  • Experience managing a team of 2+ salaried employees and 70+ indirect employees.
  • Experience scoping, leading, and implementing process improvements through Lean process, Kaizen, and/or Six Sigma.
  • Demonstrated problem-solving skills and analytical skills.
  • Excellent customer service skills, communication skills, and interpersonal skills.
  • Track record of meeting or exceeding department performance goals.
  • A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering, Operations, Supply Chain/Logistics, or a related field.
  • Experience in military, manufacturing, automotive, biotech, electronics, energy, instrumentation, machinery, defense/aerospace, medical, cosmetics, production, or distribution environments.
