About the Role
As a Strategic Adoption Manager (SAM) at Amazon Business, you'll work closely with Strategic Account Executives (SAEs) to develop and implement strategies that help our largest government agency customers transform their procurement processes using Amazon Business. You'll be the "go deep" expert within Amazon Business, using your problem-solving skills, data analysis, and creativity to structure programs that drive adoption and improve efficiencies.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage multiple concurrent customer projects across multiple federal agencies, accelerating Amazon Business adoption through key initiatives, data analysis, surveys, user outreach, and relationship building.
 - Analyze customer purchasing processes and evaluate opportunities for Amazon Business solutions to improve end-user experiences, reduce costs, and accelerate organizational performance.
 - Drive and accelerate spend adoption by advising customers on best practices for using Amazon Business solutions.
 - Oversee program execution, including project recommendation, scheduling, leadership, and timely delivery across multiple and concurrent work streams.
 - Meet or exceed targets for customer spend adoption, defining requirements, scoping programs, and providing recommendations utilizing Amazon Business solutions.
 - Provide timely, clear, and concise communications to customers and Amazon Business leadership, assessing program risks, anticipating challenges, and requesting support in escalation management when necessary.
 - Relay customer needs and requirements back to internal Amazon teams, including Product Management, Technical, and Category Management teams.
 
Essential Qualifications
To succeed in this role, you'll need:
- 5+ years of experience in B2B/B2G large enterprise account management in the federal space.
 - A proven ability to lead customer engagements and effectively advise senior leadership.
 - Excellent communication skills, with a strong ownership mindset and a willingness to roll up your sleeves to innovate on behalf of customers.
 - The ability to prioritize and demonstrate relentless discipline in achieving goals.
 - 25-40% travel to customer sites when required by project scope.
 - A BA/BS degree.
 
Preferred Qualifications
While not required, the following qualifications will give you a competitive edge:
- Knowledge of federal procurement and source-to-pay processes and solutions.
 - Procurement or e-procurement solution consulting, implementation services, or other buying-related experience.
 - Proficiency in MS Office Suite, CRMs (e.g., Salesforce.com), sales and marketing automation tools.
