About American Express and the Role

As a Virtual Assistant Team Leader, you will play a vital role in ensuring that our Centurion Card members receive exceptional support during their visits to the Centurion Parlor in New York. Your expertise and leadership will be instrumental in driving business success, mentoring team members, and upholding the high standards of service that American Express is known for.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and mentor a team of Part-Time Attendant Experts (MCPs) to deliver white-glove services to Centurion Platinum Card members, including managing appearances, registrations, dining reservations, and special event requests.
- Collaborate with the Hospitality Supervisor to ensure seamless client interactions, provide consistent coaching and feedback, and drive team performance.
- Foster a positive team environment, promote collaboration, and recognize individual achievements.
- Develop and implement strategies to improve operational efficiency, drive business results, and enhance the overall customer experience.
- Work closely with the Food and Beverage Administrator to create an exceptional client experience for Centurion New York guests.
- Participate in limited-time in-house events and identify opportunities to improve operations and implement innovative solutions.
- Drive continuous improvement, measure business results, and provide insightful and creative problem-solving.
Essential Qualifications and Skills
To succeed in this role, you will need:
- 2+ years of proactive client care experience in the Travel or Hospitality Industry, with a preference for premium concierge experience.
- 2+ years of supervisory experience or a consistent track record as a successful MCP, MSP, or CCP.
- Food and beverage, airline, or concierge industry experience is highly preferred, including reservation experience.
- Demonstrated passion for service, with the ability to resolve client issues and concerns.
- Strong written, verbal, and presentation skills.
- Ability to work flexible shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Light to moderate lifting may be required for certain job tasks.

- Experience in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Knowledge of American Express products and services.
- Previous experience working in a remote or virtual team environment.
