Job Summary: Your Role in Shaping the Future of Disney Media
As an Analyst, Linear Forecasting & Analytics, you'll be responsible for analyzing linear trends, evaluating methodology changes, and assessing alternative currencies to estimate their impact on the Disney Media business. You'll collaborate with analytics teams to align internal forecasts with machine learning models, build more accurate forecasts, and partner with key executives across finance, sales, and scheduling. Your expertise will help navigate the ever-changing media landscape and drive business success.
Key Responsibilities: Driving Business Insights and Strategy
- Analyze linear trends, evaluate methodology changes, and assess alternative currencies to estimate their impact on the Disney Media business.
 - Collaborate with analytics teams to align internal forecasts with machine learning models and build more accurate and scenario planning forecasts.
 - Partner with key executives across finance, sales, and scheduling to inform business decisions and drive growth.
 - Evaluate methodology changes by Nielsen and other providers to alert key stakeholders on potential trend changes.
 - Analyze content consumption and viewership for multiple networks, including ABC and cable networks.
 - Work on in-season scenario planning and landscape forecasts to support business strategy.
 
Essential Qualifications: The Skills and Expertise We're Looking For
To succeed in this role, you'll need a strong foundation in data analysis, business insights, and project management. The ideal candidate will have:
- A minimum of one year of experience using advanced Excel and/or SQL to analyze data or conduct qualitative business analyses and insights.
 - Proficiency in PowerPoint, Keynote, and Word to effectively communicate insights and recommendations.
 - Superior project management skills and high attention to detail to ensure timely and accurate delivery of results.
 - The ability to live within a commutable distance to Burbank, CA, and work onsite 4+ days a week.
 - A deep passion for the media landscape and TV programs, with a keen understanding of the industry's trends and challenges.
 - Strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively collaborate with stakeholders and drive business results.
 
Preferred Qualifications: Additional Skills That Will Set You Apart
While not required, the following skills and experience will give you a competitive edge:
- Knowledge of Tableau, Snowflake, and Nielsen media tools (including NNTV and NPOWER) to enhance your analytical capabilities.
 - Experience with data visualization tools and techniques to effectively communicate complex insights.
 
Education and Compensation: We're Committed to Your Success
A bachelor's degree is required for this role. The hiring range for this position in Burbank, CA is $71,000 to $95,100 per year, based on a 40-hour work week. The base pay offered will take into account internal equity and may vary depending on your geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and other benefits.
