As a Project Manager - Software Development (Customer-Facing), you will be responsible for overseeing the planning, execution, and delivery of our software development projects, serving as the primary point of contact for client communication, and driving project success through effective leadership and collaboration.

Key Responsibilities

  • Project Leadership:
    • Lead the planning, execution, and delivery of software development projects from inception to completion.
    • Define project scope, objectives, and deliverables in collaboration with stakeholders and the development team.
    • Ensure adherence to project timelines, budgets, and quality standards.
  • Customer-Facing Communications:
    • Serve as the primary point of contact for client communication throughout the project lifecycle.
    • Understand and articulate client requirements, ensuring alignment between project deliverables and customer expectations.
    • Proactively manage and resolve client issues or concerns while maintaining a positive and professional relationship.
  • Team Collaboration:
    • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including developers, designers, quality assurance, and other stakeholders to drive project success.
    • Foster a collaborative and innovative team environment to encourage productivity and creativity.
    • Provide guidance, support, and motivation to team members, ensuring clarity on project objectives and tasks.
  • Risk Management:

Essential Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you'll need:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business Management, or a related field.
  • Proven experience (3 years) in project management, specifically in software development projects, with a focus on customer-facing communications.
  • A strong understanding of software development methodologies (e.g., Agile, Scrum) and tools (e.g., JIRA, Trello).
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and negotiation skills with the ability to engage effectively with clients and internal teams.
  • Solid organizational and leadership abilities with a proactive approach to problem-solving.

Preferred Qualifications

While not essential, the following qualifications will be considered advantageous:

  • Experience working in a remote or distributed team environment.
  • Knowledge of IT service management frameworks (e.g., ITIL).
  • Familiarity with cloud-based technologies and platforms.
