About the Role
As a Provider Customer Service Call and Chat Representative at blithequark, you'll be the advocate for healthcare providers, resolving their queries and concerns through phone calls and concurrent chats. Your expertise will be instrumental in addressing a range of topics, including benefits and eligibility, billing and payments, clinical authorizations, explanation of benefits, and behavioral health.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary point of contact for healthcare providers, demonstrating accountability and ownership in resolving issues.
- Provide multi-channel support through calls and concurrent chats, ensuring timely and effective resolution of provider queries.
- Triage contacts from healthcare professionals, identifying their needs and delivering personalized support.
- Research and resolve complex prior authorization and claim issues, taking proactive steps to prevent repeat calls and escalations.
- Collaborate with internal partners to ensure seamless issue resolution and communication with providers.
- Utilize multiple systems to extract necessary information, navigating various lines of business, provider types, and call types.
- Influence providers to adopt self-service digital tools, promoting faster resolution and enhanced navigation.

Essential Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent work experience.
- 1 year of customer service experience, with a proven track record of analyzing and resolving customer concerns.
- Proficiency in computer applications, including Windows PC, and the ability to navigate complex systems.
- A typing speed of 35-40 WPM with 90% accuracy.
- Availability to work a full-time schedule (40 hours/week) between 10:30 AM - 7:05 PM CST, Monday - Friday, with occasional overtime, weekends, and holidays as needed.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in a related environment, such as a call center or customer service role, using phones and computers as primary job tools.
- Prior healthcare experience and knowledge of healthcare terminology.
Telecommuting Requirements
- Reside within a 60-mile commutable distance of Houston, TX.
- Maintain a dedicated work area that is secure, private, and free from distractions.
- Ensure a reliable high-speed internet connection.
