Job Summary
The remote data entry specialist is responsible for performing daily reconciliation, trade, and transfer activities for alternative investments. This includes refining exchange deal transactions in client accounts, identifying and addressing discrepancies between blithequark and fund companies or transfer agents, and processing corporate activity events. The specialist will also be responsible for settling and reconciling transaction activity, processing and reconciling dividend activity, and conducting research on complex and escalated issues.
Key Responsibilities
- Refine exchange deal transactions in client accounts and identify/address discrepancies between blithequark and fund companies or transfer agents
 - Process corporate activity events, settle and reconcile transaction activity, and process and reconcile dividend activity
 - Conduct research on complex and escalated issues, perform testing and validation of new technology enhancements and vendor changes
 - Complete projects in investing, dividends, transfers, reconciliation, and corporate actions that directly impact client/advisor accounts
 - Interact with retail and institutional service teams using email, phone, Slack, Outlook, and Salesforce
 - Collaborate with blithequark Clearing in daily relationships with fund companies, transfer brokers, converse organizations, and other external business partners
 
Accountabilities and Evaluation
- Review of registration agreements or transaction requests
 - Client/advisor level exemptions
 - Regulatory responsibilities (Examples: 2340 and 15C3-3)
 - Reconciliation of field, dividend, and move breaks
 - Getting back together across BOS and fund companies
 - Evaluation and interpretation of applicable tax programming and corrections of tax coding
 - Complication handling, internal/external system improvements or issues
 - Source of breaks between blithequark, the fund, etc.
 - Providing method or technology service options to control
 - Remediating transactions issues with the fund or opposite company
 - Customer or business partner service, answering service partner questions regarding fund specific requirements/eligibility
 - Providing action on alternative investment transactions to accelerate client requests or remediate not in good order concerns
 - Timely and accurate completion of customer trading and dividend requests
 
Essential and Preferred Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will need to have excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work accurately and efficiently in a fast-paced environment. You should have strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact with clients, advisors, and internal teams. A strong understanding of financial markets, instruments, and regulations is also essential.
Preferred qualifications include experience in data entry, reconciliation, or a related field, with a strong knowledge of alternative investments and financial services. A bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or a related field is also preferred.
