Are you a skilled Clinical Data Engineer looking for a challenging remote role? As a Clinical Data Engineer, you will play a vital role in implementing and maintaining the data processes and pipelines that underpin the functions of our Physician Practice Services (PPS) teams. Job Summary

As a Clinical Data Engineer, you will be responsible for developing, deploying, and maintaining pipelines to import PPS resource data systems within a GCP environment. You will also partner with business owners to create service line data visualizations, project-specific data sets, reports, and automate existing manual data tasks. Your expertise in cloud-based platforms, Python, and SQL will be essential in driving the success of our CDS team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, implement, and maintain data pipelines to import and transform external data sources for use in downstream analytics and machine learning
  • Develop and deploy data pipelines within a GCP environment to support PPS resource data systems
  • Partner with business owners to create service line data visualizations, project-specific data sets, and reports
  • Automate existing manual data tasks and troubleshoot data anomalies and quality issues within the clinical data ecosystem
  • Collaborate with CDS and PPS leaders and associated team members to ensure data-driven insights inform business decisions

Requirements

Essential Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in a technical field, including Clinical Analytics, Business Analytics, Data Science, Information Systems, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field from an accredited university or college
  • One year of experience using Cloud-Based Platforms (e.g., Azure, AWS, GCP, Snowflake) to complete advanced data processing, including implementing data pipelines for structured and unstructured data
  • One year of applied experience using Python and SQL to develop, test, and deploy data pipelines to import and transform external data sources for use in downstream analytics and machine learning
  • Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
  • Authorization to work and remain in the United States, without necessity for sponsorship now or in the future

Preferred Qualifications:

  • GCP Professional Cloud Data Engineer Certification
  • Master's Degree
  • Applied experience using cloud-based technologies for scalable data processing and analysis
  • Experience working with large healthcare data (Clinical, Claims, Survey)
