About the Role: Cloud Performance Monitor Engineer
We're on the hunt for a highly skilled and motivated Cloud Performance Monitor Engineer to join our dynamic team! As a critical member of our organization, you'll play a pivotal role in ensuring the optimal performance and reliability of our cloud-based systems. Job Summary
As a Cloud Performance Monitor Engineer, you'll be responsible for leveraging monitoring tools to proactively identify and track bottlenecks in cloud environments. This is a unique opportunity to work in a remote setting, with a flexible afternoon/night shift schedule (6 PM to 2 AM, Monday - Friday). You'll be an integral part of our team, driving success and delivering exceptional results.
Key Responsibilities
- Cloud Performance Monitoring: Implement and maintain cloud performance monitoring tools and dashboards (e.g., AWS CloudWatch, Azure Monitor, Dynatrace, Datadog) to ensure seamless cloud system operations.
- Health and Performance Monitoring: Continuously monitor the health, performance, and availability of cloud systems, identifying areas for improvement and optimization.
- Performance Optimization: Propose and implement improvements to enhance cloud system performance and efficiency, collaborating with DevOps and cloud engineering teams to address performance issues.
- Cloud Cost Optimization: Optimize cloud costs while ensuring performance standards are met, providing regular performance reports and recommendations to stakeholders.
- Collaboration and Communication: Work closely with cross-functional teams to drive success, providing exceptional communication and collaboration skills to ensure seamless project execution.
- Other Duties: Perform other duties as assigned, staying flexible and adaptable in a rapidly changing environment.
Requirements and Qualifications
Education and Experience
- Bachelor's Degree: Hold a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Proven Experience: Demonstrate proven experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud Platform) and hands-on experience with performance monitoring tools and technologies.
- US Citizenship: Be a US Citizen able to pass a standard background check.
Preferred Skills and Certifications
- Excellent Communication: Possess excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively across teams.
- Cloud Certifications: Hold certifications in cloud technologies (AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner, Azure Administrator, etc.).
