About the Role
The Domain Business Architect will be responsible for consulting and guiding the identification of business value through the holistic conceptualization and refinement of business strategy, analysis, planning, and design of manual and automated enterprise-level solutions. This involves simplifying business and technology by driving the domains, business areas, and the enterprise towards a mutually agreed target state and constructing roadmaps to achieve this goal.
Key Responsibilities:
- Simplify business and technology by driving domains towards a target state and constructing roadmaps.
 - Collaborate with various roles to develop a current-state fact base and architect processes and capabilities.
 - Support Enterprise Architecture during strategic consultations to provide comprehensive enterprise design.
 - Decompose strategic initiatives into actionable work through the demand operating model.
 - Participate and lead in Business Architecture Community of Practice/Excellence activities and sub-teams.
 
Essential Qualifications
To excel in this role, you must possess a combination of business acumen, technical knowledge, and leadership skills. The ideal candidate will have:
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Deep understanding of Business Architecture practice and discipline.
 - Strong strategic thinking, abstract reasoning, and critical thinking skills.
 - Systems thinking with an engineered approach.
 - In-depth knowledge of company operations and the broader FedEx Enterprise.
 - Ability to operate in vague or undefined spaces with minimal direction.
 - Influential leadership skills to promote collaboration across the enterprise.
 
Minimum Education and Experience:
- A Bachelor's degree in engineering, business information systems, computer science, or a related quantitative discipline.
 - At least seven (7) years of relevant experience, with a minimum of five (5) years in areas such as applications development, transportation/logistics operations, business analysis, and business process modeling.
