About the Role

As a Call Center Representative at blithequark, you will play a crucial role in patient enrollment, data entry, and resolving third-party abnormalities while providing exceptional customer service. Working in a remote capacity, you will be responsible for utilizing pharmacy systems to obtain patient and medication information, handling patient medication requests, and entering refill orders for processing within HIPAA guidelines.

Key Responsibilities

  • Process new patient enrollments by entering information into the appropriate system using blithequark's prescription data entry methodology and guideline processes.
  • Handle patient medication requests within HIPAA guidelines and enter refill orders for processing.
  • Research and obtain missing prescription information, decipher clinical abbreviations (SIG codes), and resolve all data entry-related exceptions.
  • Manage inbound calls, visits, and messages from patients, and make outbound calls to prescribers and patients on a case-by-case basis.
  • Resolve third-party abnormalities by investigating, gathering information, creating claims, and resubmitting for processing according to individual plan requirements.
  • Make phone calls to providers and others to obtain information, gain override approval, or otherwise resolve third-party abnormalities.
  • Provide support to pharmacists both in-office and in other locations, identifying and communicating issues to senior-level staff as necessary.

Essential Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Basic level PC skills, including starting and shutting down the computer, using the mouse, opening and closing programs, switching between programs, saving files, and printing documents.
  • Basic browser skills, including opening a browser, typing URLs, using a search engine, bookmarking a webpage, and completing online forms.
  • Intermediate level keyboarding skills (at least 25 WPM, typing by memory, organizing documents).
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • Must be at least 18 years old.

Preferred Qualifications

  • At least 1 year of pharmacy professional experience in a retail or call center environment.
  • At least 1.5 years as a pharmacy professional with a certification/licensure by the state as granted by the State Board for Pharmacies or a widely recognized certification agency.
  • Experience providing customer care to internal and external customers, including meeting quality standards for services and assessing customer satisfaction.
  • Intermediate to advanced level keyboarding skills (at least 35 WPM, typing by memory, organizing documents).
  • Proficiency in both Spanish and English.
