About the Role
We're seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Customer Service Representative to join our Claims Inquiry/Claims Research team on a fully remote basis. As a key member of our team, you'll be responsible for providing top-notch service to our members, providers, and plan sponsors via phone, email, and other channels. Key Responsibilities
- Respond to inquiries and resolve issues from members, providers, and plan sponsors in a timely and professional manner.
- Conduct in-depth claims research across multiple platforms to address provider payment queries and concerns.
- Provide personalized support and guidance to customers, proactively offering relevant information to address unasked questions and concerns.
- Utilize our customer service threshold framework to make informed financial decisions and resolve member issues efficiently.
- Process claim referrals, new claim handoffs, nurse reviews, complaints, grievances, and appeals via our target system.
- Educate providers on our self-service options and assist with credentialing, re-credentialing, and contracting queries.
- Compile claim data for customer audits and determine medical necessity, applicable coverage provisions, and verify member plan eligibility.
Essential Qualifications
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office products, including Word, Teams, and Excel.
- Ability to navigate multiple applications simultaneously while maintaining a high level of customer engagement.
- Experience working in a fast-paced, transactional call center environment.
- Excellent customer service and critical thinking skills.
- High-speed internet access (100 Mbps or higher) and a stable connection.
- A dedicated workspace with a direct connection to the router (not Wi-Fi).
Preferred Qualifications
- A background in healthcare or a related field.
Education and Certifications
A High School diploma or GED equivalent is required for this role.
