About the Opportunity

We are currently building an in-house, best-in-class door-to-door sales team to lead and expand Ting's footprint. As a Field Sales Representative, you will serve as a Ting ambassador, playing an active role in impacting the communities in which we operate. Your primary goal will be to prospect future customers in your assigned territory, educating them about the benefits of our fiber internet services and providing them with the best customer experience possible.

Key Responsibilities

  • Door-to-Door Sales: Spend 100% of your work hours in the field, prospecting sales via the door-to-door method, selling, and obtaining orders or contracts for Tucows/Ting products and services.
  • Flexible Schedule: Work 37.5 hours per week in your assigned territory, with anticipated shift schedules ranging from 10 am-6 pm or 11 am-7 pm, including a one-hour lunch break.
  • Customer Engagement: Engage with community members, having valuable face-to-face conversations, and educating them about Ting products and services.
  • Sales Execution: Present and take orders for the fastest and most reliable fiber internet service to residents.
  • Brand Representation: Model best practices in the sales process and represent the Ting brand with professionalism and integrity.
  • Goal Achievement: Meet weekly sales goals and activity metrics to drive your success and earn competitive commissions.

Essential Qualifications and Skills

To succeed in this role, you should possess:

  • Minimum 1 year of experience: In door-to-door sales or transferable sales experience, with a proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
  • Excellent Communication Skills: Strong interpersonal and customer skills, with the ability to effectively communicate the value of our products and services.
  • Self-Motivation: A passionate and driven individual who is motivated by sales and controlling your own income.
  • Professionalism: Demonstrate professionalism, treating people with dignity and respect, aligning with Ting's operating principles.
  • Technical Proficiency: Comfortable using a company-issued iPad and applications to manage and document daily activities.
  • Reliable Transportation: Access to independent transportation, with a valid driver's license and auto insurance, to travel within your assigned territory.
  • Physical Ability: Ability to perform tasks that require standing and walking for extended periods, with or without reasonable accommodation, and work outdoors in various weather conditions.

  • Prior experience in the telecommunications or technology industry.
  • Knowledge of fiber internet services and their benefits.

Compensation, Perks, and Benefits

We offer a competitive compensation package, including:

  • Uncapped earning potential, with expected On Target Earnings ranging from $75,000 to $120,000 or more.
