Experienced Flow Inventory Associate – Vehicle Management and Customer Service Expert

Key Responsibilities
As a Flow Inventory Associate, your primary responsibilities will include:
- Executing processes as defined by work instructions and/or standardized work to maintain inventory accuracy and efficiency
 - Participating in problem-solving and continuous improvement activities with the team to drive business results
 - Providing training and support to new associates, guided by Inventory Associate II and/or the Manager, to ensure a smooth onboarding process
 - Delivering exceptional customer service to internal and external customers, responding to inquiries, and resolving issues in a timely and professional manner
 - Maintaining daily lot maintenance and security of display areas and work-in-progress zones, ensuring a safe and organized working environment
 - Receiving and securing vehicles shipped to CarMax, preparing vehicle and title packets for shipping to other locations, and completing scanning of vehicles to ensure accurate product status
 - Performing lot wash and merchandising activities, including washing and vacuuming customer returns and loaner vehicles, and completing front-lot wash
 - Driving vehicles on and off lot for repairs and storage, and providing support to Auctions (if applicable)
 - Maintaining workplace cleanliness and organization in accordance with CarMax 5S standards, ensuring a safe and efficient working environment
 
Essential Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A current driver's license and meet the CarMax DSEPS standards
 - The ability to read, interpret, and transcribe data to maintain accurate records
 - A High School diploma or equivalent work experience preferred
 - The ability to execute processes as defined by work instructions and/or standardized work
 - Completion of Inventory Associate Workstation Certifications & Assigned Workday Learnings
 - The ability to safely lift up to 50lbs
 
Preferred Qualifications
While not essential, the following qualifications are preferred:
- Previous experience in an inventory management or customer service role
 - Knowledge of automotive industry practices and procedures
 - Experience with inventory management software and systems
 - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment
