Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced Front Office Clerk and Receptionist to work remotely and provide exceptional support to our patients and healthcare team. Key Responsibilities
- Schedule appointments for patients, including obtaining and entering accurate demographic information in the EMR, reviewing appointment details with callers, and informing them of necessary documents and policies.
- Act as a liaison between patients and the Health Center, directing calls to other departments as needed, using sound judgment in handling calls, and escalating concerns to physicians, practice managers, or triage nurses when necessary.
- Provide exceptional patient service, including making reminder calls, rescheduling appointments, and assisting with mailings and other projects as call volume permits.
- Demonstrate good customer service skills, handle confidential and sensitive information with discretion, and maintain a positive and professional demeanor in a fast-paced environment.
- Work effectively in a remote setting, utilizing technology and communication tools to stay connected with the team and ensure seamless operations.
Essential Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will need to possess the following skills and qualifications:
- 2+ years of experience as a medical receptionist or in a related field, with a strong understanding of healthcare operations and patient care principles.
