Job Summary
As a Remote Video Operator, you will play a critical role in supporting the technical requirements of our live events, working closely with our production team to ensure seamless video operations. You will be responsible for setting up, operating, and troubleshooting video equipment, as well as collaborating with other team members to deliver high-quality live events.
Key Responsibilities
- Video Operations: Set up, operate, and troubleshoot video equipment, including cameras, switchers, and transmission systems.
 - Camera Management: Adjust video levels, black/white balance, and color balance between all cameras to ensure optimal image quality.
 - Video Signal Management: Route and switch video signals, working with the video team to configure screens for talent and the show.
 - Troubleshooting: Investigate and resolve video issues, including camera, cabling, and lens problems.
 - Remote Compound Management: Oversee and organize remote compound video, fiber link, and source lists.
 - Workflow Development: Collaborate with Operations and Creation partners to develop and implement workflows.
 - Technical Knowledge: Develop a basic understanding of system design and engineering, including on-site integration and setup of video systems, fiber optic systems, and transmission protocols.
 
Essential Qualifications
- Experience: At least 2 years of practical experience in live event production at the network level in a video role.
 - Technical Knowledge: Familiarity with live production equipment, including cameras, switchers, and transmission systems.
 - Waveform/Vectorscope Skills: Ability to read and work with waveform/vectorscope (designs - SDI and IP, HD, UHD, and HDR).
 - Camera Look and Color: Understanding of general camera look and color requirements.
 - Signal Management: Ability to monitor and adjust signals and screens as needed.
 - Equipment Setup: Set up, operate, and troubleshoot video equipment on-site on an as-needed basis.
 - Problem-Solving: Strong technical problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
 
Preferred Qualifications
- Broadcast Equipment Knowledge: Familiarity with broadcast equipment and live event production requirements.
 - Fiber Optic Systems: Knowledge of fiber optic systems and cabling.
