Job Summary

As a Remote Video Operator, you will play a critical role in supporting the technical requirements of our live events, working closely with our production team to ensure seamless video operations. Key Responsibilities

• Video Operations: Set up, operate, and troubleshoot video equipment, including cameras, switchers, and transmission systems.
• Camera Management: Adjust video levels, black/white balance, and color balance between all cameras to ensure optimal image quality.
• Video Signal Management: Route and switch video signals, working with the video team to configure screens for talent and the show.
• Troubleshooting: Investigate and resolve video issues, including camera, cabling, and lens problems.
• Remote Compound Management: Oversee and organize remote compound video, fiber link, and source lists.
• Workflow Development: Collaborate with Operations and Creation partners to develop and implement workflows.
• Technical Knowledge: Develop a basic understanding of system design and engineering, including on-site integration and setup of video systems, fiber optic systems, and transmission protocols.

Essential Qualifications

• Experience: At least 2 years of practical experience in live event production at the network level in a video role.
• Technical Knowledge: Familiarity with live production equipment, including cameras, switchers, and transmission systems.
• Waveform/Vectorscope Skills: Ability to read and work with waveform/vectorscope (designs - SDI and IP, HD, UHD, and HDR).
• Camera Look and Color: Understanding of general camera look and color requirements.
• Signal Management: Ability to monitor and adjust signals and screens as needed.
• Equipment Setup: Set up, operate, and troubleshoot video equipment on-site on an as-needed basis.
• Problem-Solving: Strong technical problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
