Key Responsibilities:
- Provide phone support to patients receiving life-sustaining specialty drug treatment, addressing their concerns and resolving issues in a timely and professional manner.
- Coordinate and handle new patient drug orders and reorders, including verifying and refreshing benefits, entering new or reorder medications into the pharmacy data system, and communicating copay amounts.
- Collaborate with insurance companies, healthcare providers, and internal teams to monitor, identify, resolve, and concede orders with records of sales or clinical issues.
- Utilize excellent communication skills to effectively interact with insurance companies, patients, and internal partners, ensuring timely processing of specialty drugs and meeting financial and clinical expectations.
- Maintain accurate records and perform administrative tasks as required.
Essential Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in a related field.
- Active IL Pharmacy Technician License or willingness to apply for an IL Pharmacy Technician License.
- At least one year of experience in a customer care role, handling and resolving a high volume of complex customer needs via telephone.
- At least one year of work experience with Windows-based applications, including Windows, Microsoft Office, web navigation, and email applications.
- At least one year of PC keyboarding experience, with strong typing skills and accuracy.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Healthcare work experience and knowledge of benefits, insurance, prescriptions, and clinical terminology.
- Experience working in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities and deadlines.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to navigate complex systems and processes.
