About the Role

As a Customer Service Representative at blithequark, you will play a critical role in delivering exceptional customer experiences within the commercial energy business in Mississippi. You will be part of a specialized and technical team that focuses on energy efficiency customer support. Your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Non-scripted customer interactions via phone, email, and software chat applications
  • Professional outreach to customers and program participants
  • Reviewing and assisting customers with energy application inquiries and program questions
  • Other administrative duties as assigned

Key Responsibilities

As a Customer Service Representative, you will be responsible for:

  • Providing prompt and accurate processing of energy efficiency applications
  • Delivering exceptional customer service via phone, email, and online chat
  • Conducting detailed reviews of energy incentive applications for eligibility
  • Finalizing energy applications and resultant payments
  • Providing inbound and outbound support for applicants and program participants
  • Performing other types of back-office processing support for utility clients and their customers

Requirements and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need to have:

Essential Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 2+ years of professional work experience
  • 2+ years of proficiency with MS Word, Excel, and other programs within the MS Office Suite
  • Ability to pass a background check

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Previous business processing or back-office experience
  • Ability to accurately process applications within a highly repetitive processing environment
  • Previous sales or customer service experience
  • Computer skills to include data entry with a high degree of accuracy and speed, and database navigation
  • Strong communication skills, both written and oral
  • Ability to display high energy level, positive attitude, and enthusiasm for the program
  • Experience working with program participants ranging from homeowners to contractors
  • Ability to identify, define, and resolve problems in a timely manner
  • Strong organizational and analytical skills
  • Ability to type 45 to 50 wpm
  • Team player with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Superior interpersonal skills including courtesy, professionalism, and a cooperative attitude
  • Ability to be flexible to handle multiple priorities and to work limited overtime as necessary
  • Able to sit for prolonged periods of time
  • Takes pride in own ability to positively make a difference in the lives of program participants
  • Desire and ability to quickly learn about the energy business
