Key Responsibilities:

  • Respond to incoming calls, chats, and emails from borrowers and stakeholders regarding Federal Student Aid (FSA) Loan Servicing
  • Make outbound calls to borrowers and stakeholders as needed
  • Utilize computerized systems for tracking, information gathering, and troubleshooting
  • Provide exceptional customer service, resolving issues and addressing concerns in a professional and courteous manner
  • Refer complex issues to senior staff or subject matter experts as needed
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation of customer interactions
  • Support Contact Center expectations, departmental, and corporate policies and procedures
  • Participate in ongoing training and development to stay up-to-date on FSA programs and policies

Essential Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; 6 months of customer service experience preferred
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with multiple priorities
  • Basic math and PC skills, including proficiency in MS Office applications
  • Fluent English language skills (speaking, reading, and writing)
  • Regular and predictable attendance is required

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in customer service, preferably in a call center or similar environment
  • Familiarity with federal student aid programs and policies
  • Experience with computerized systems and software applications
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

Pay Transparency:

For positions on this contract, blithequark will pay the prevailing wage rate for the location in which the employee is working, as determined by the Department of Labor. The hourly base pay range for this position is $17.20.
