About Our Workforce Programs

Eckerd Connects provides a comprehensive range of workforce development services, including occupational skills training, customized training, on-the-job training, incumbent worker training, and transitional employment opportunities. Our programs are designed to cater to the diverse needs of youth, adults, and dislocated workers, ensuring that they have access to the resources and support required to achieve their career goals. By establishing and developing relationships with employers and community organizations, we create a robust network that fosters career advancement and economic growth.

Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for participants, providing guidance and support throughout their career development journey.
  • Ensure regulatory compliance by meeting eligibility, participation, and follow-up service requirements, as well as maintaining accurate case notes and records.
  • Recruit participants for the program and identify employment and educational opportunities to facilitate their transition into the workforce.
  • Deliver skills training in software applications, work readiness skills, and basic remedial skills in math and reading to enhance participants' employability.
  • Develop and facilitate engaging presentations and workshops to promote program goals and participant development.
  • Foster strong relationships with employers and community organizations to market the program, identify job opportunities, and drive participant success.

Qualifications and Requirements

Essential Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • 3+ years of relevant work experience in a related field, such as career coaching, workforce development, or social services.
  • Proficient in using Microsoft Office applications or online database tracking systems.
  • Valid state driver's license and ability to meet requirements for Eckerd's Auto Insurance.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited College or University in a related field, such as counseling, education, or social work.
  • Experience working with the target population, including youth and adults facing challenges.
