About the Opportunity

We're looking for a highly skilled and compassionate Certified Teacher Tutor to lead small in-person math groups in a 4th-grade classroom during the 2023-2024 school year. As a valued member of our team, you'll have the opportunity to work collaboratively with lead teachers and other educational professionals to tailor lessons that meet the diverse needs of your students. Key Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality math instruction to small groups of 4th-grade students in a classroom setting
• Tailor lessons to meet the unique academic needs of each student, promoting engagement and understanding
• Provide daily positive feedback to students, fostering a supportive and encouraging learning environment
• Collaborate with lead teachers and other educational professionals to ensure seamless integration with the broader curriculum
• Maintain a patient, compassionate, and responsible approach to teaching, ensuring the well-being and success of all students

Essential Qualifications

• State Teaching Certification in a relevant subject area
• Updated clearances: FBI, Police Record, and Child Abuse
• 2+ years of teaching or tutoring experience, with a proven track record of success
• Open availability to teach from 8:00 AM to 3:30 PM, Monday through Friday, during the 2023-2024 school year
• Reliable transportation to and from the tutoring location
• A passion for working with students and making a positive impact on their educational journey

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working with small groups or one-on-one tutoring
• Strong knowledge of math curriculum and instructional strategies for 4th-grade students
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with students, teachers, and parents
