Job Summary

We're looking for an experienced Science Instructor to provide instruction in science-related subjects, from Elementary School Science to High School AP Level Science. As a Science Instructor, you'll be responsible for creating lesson plans, facilitating classroom discussions, evaluating student performance, and promoting a positive learning environment. You'll collaborate with our Directors of Curriculum Development to develop curriculum and lesson plans, as well as provide academic support to students.

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the Director of Curriculum Development to develop lesson plans and curricula as needed.
• Prepare students for science competitions and assessments.
• Assess students' needs and provide extra support in areas where they're struggling.
• Provide homework help and guidance as needed.
• Lead a classroom of students effectively, using good classroom management skills.
• Work efficiently with students, parents, and colleagues to achieve academic goals.

Qualifications and Requirements

To be successful as a Science Instructor at Master Prep Academy, you'll need:

Essential Qualifications

• A Bachelor's degree in Science or a related field from an accredited college or university.
• At least 2 years of experience as a Science instructor or tutor.
• Professional communication skills, both spoken and written.
• Proven experience assisting students with essay review and feedback.
• Competence in Microsoft Office products, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• The ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
• Enthusiasm for working with students and parents.
• Highly organized and detail-oriented, with a focus on accuracy and attention to detail.

Preferred Qualifications

• A Master's degree in Science or a related field from an accredited college or university.
• Knowledge of science competitions and assessments.
• Familiarity with AP Science content and tests.
• Teaching certification or license.
