About the Role
We're seeking an experienced Investigation Program Manager to join our AD Process and Compliance Team as part of our TechOps organization. As an Investigation Program Manager, you'll play a critical role in ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and driving process improvements. This remote-based position offers a unique chance to work with a talented team and be at the forefront of innovation in the aviation industry.
Key Responsibilities
- Compile reports of Major Repairs, Alterations, AD Status, and STCs using Delta's systems of records, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Support requests from the FAA and internal customers, providing reports and data to facilitate aging aircraft inspections, entry into service (FAA Part 121 certification), aircraft transactions, engineering modifications, and more.
- Determine major repairs, major alterations, and AD compliance status through Delta's compliance and records systems, demonstrating a deep understanding of regulatory requirements.
- Audit execution and accomplishments of AD-required work, reviewing maintenance hard copy records and confirming compliance to ensure the highest standards.
- Create tools and system queries to extract data, meeting regulatory and business requirements, and driving process improvements.
- Utilize SQL or Database querying tools to extract insights and inform decision-making.
- Leverage scripting programming languages such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell to automate tasks and streamline processes.
- Apply process improvement methodologies to optimize workflows and enhance efficiency.
- Demonstrate strong computer skills, with extensive knowledge of Excel, including VBA or Office Scripts, to analyze data and drive insights.
What You Need to Succeed
To excel in this role, you'll need:
- Knowledge of 14 CFR Part 121 Requirements, ensuring a deep understanding of regulatory compliance.
- Familiarity with maintenance standard operating procedures and development of Engineering Authorizations.
- The ability to identify and sign off on compliance requirements of Delta's AD program, demonstrating a commitment to safety and security.
- A high school diploma, GED, or high school equivalency, with a minimum age of 18 and authorization to work in the United States.
- A strong commitment to embracing diverse people, thinking, and styles, aligning with Delta's values.
What Will Give You a Competitive Edge
To stand out in this role, you'll ideally have:
- At least 10 years of experience with Transport Category Aircraft Operators, bringing a wealth of industry knowledge.
- A background in maintenance and/or engineering investigations, aircraft records, and SCEPTRE knowledge, providing a strong foundation.
- Experience with innovation and process improvements, driving change and optimization.
- Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to develop comprehensive corrective action plans.
- The ability to interact with various departments, negotiating solutions that meet the needs of each organization.
- A track record of handling sensitive issues with discretion and professionalism.
