Job Summary
The LEADS Operator position is a part-time role that requires a high level of professionalism, attention to detail, and excellent communication skills. As a LEADS Operator, you will be responsible for maintaining files and records, reviewing incoming civil/warrant forms, verifying and entering data into the LEADS computer system, and confirming warrants, civil papers, and missing property located by other law enforcement agencies. Your duties will also include answering telephones, taking messages, and properly routing information via telephone or radio, as well as responding to hit confirmations and assisting patrol with arrangements to meet with other law enforcement agencies.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain files and records consistent with established policy and procedure, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality.
 - Review incoming civil/warrant forms after entry into the internal Records Management System, verifying completeness and accuracy.
 - Verify and enter data into the LEADS computer system, ensuring timely and accurate updates.
 - Confirm warrants, civil papers, and missing property located by other law enforcement agencies, facilitating effective communication and collaboration.
 - Answer telephones, take messages, and properly route information via telephone or radio, providing exceptional customer service and support.
 - Respond to hit confirmations via telephone or radio and assist patrol with arrangements to meet with other law enforcement agencies to pick up subjects on warrants, ensuring efficient and safe operations.
 - Provide assistance to staff on specific projects, demonstrating flexibility and teamwork.
 
Essential Qualifications
