As a Pharmacy Technician Instructor - Substitute at Concorde Career Colleges, you'll be responsible for providing active and effective learning experiences for students in various educational settings, including classrooms, labs, clinical settings, and online platforms. You'll act as a professional and academic role model, demonstrating expertise in pharmacy technology and a passion for teaching.Key Responsibilities
- Teach classes as assigned, preparing lesson plans and course materials as required
- Objectively assess students' academic performance and provide regular, constructive feedback
- Maintain a classroom environment conducive to learning, setting an example for professionalism and conduct
- Utilize instructional plans, learning management systems, and educational technology to enhance student learning
- Monitor student attendance, academic performance, and behavioral concerns, referring students to program directors or academic deans as needed
- Participate in ongoing faculty and professional development activities, including continuing education units (CEUs) and certification requirements
- Assist with preparations for graduation ceremonies, student recognition events, and campus activities
- Perform other duties as assigned, demonstrating flexibility and a positive attitude
Essential Qualifications
- Three years of related practical work experience in the occupational field associated with pharmacy technology
- State-specific license as a Registered Pharmacy Technician
- CPhT certification from the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) for California and Texas associates; preferred in Florida
- Hospital experience with IV and compounding experience
- Associate's degree preferred
