Job Summary: Senior Math Instructor and Tutor

We're seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Math Instructor and Tutor to join our team in Sammamish, WA. As a Senior Math Instructor and Tutor, you'll play a critical role in delivering high-quality math education to students of all ages and skill levels. This is a unique opportunity to make a lasting impact on the lives of KG-12th grade students, working in a dynamic and supportive environment that values employee growth and development.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Teach and tutor students: Deliver math instruction using the Mathnasium Method, terminology, and teaching practices, both in-center and online.
  • Collaborate with team members: Work with instructors and other staff to develop and implement individualized learning plans.
  • Assess student progress: Evaluate student learning and engagement throughout instructional sessions, providing feedback and adjusting instruction as needed.
  • Digital literacy: Become proficient with digital educational materials and processes, using technology to enhance instruction and student engagement.
  • Maintain a safe and professional learning environment: Ensure a safe, respectful, and inclusive learning environment that promotes student engagement and success.

Essential Qualifications:

  • Passion for math and education: A genuine enthusiasm for math and a desire to inspire a love of learning in students.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills: Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with students, parents, and colleagues.
  • Eagerness to learn and be trained: A willingness to learn and be trained on the Mathnasium Method, curriculum, and instructional practices.
  • Ability to balance multiple tasks: The ability to manage multiple tasks and responsibilities, prioritizing student needs and deadlines.
  • Teaching experience: A minimum of 3 years of experience working in a tutoring or teaching role, with experience teaching math through at least Pre-calculus (Calculus I preferred).
  • Bachelor's degree: A Bachelor's degree in a related field, such as Education, Mathematics, or a math-heavy degree.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience mentoring junior team members: Experience mentoring or training junior instructors, with a strong understanding of instructional best practices.
  • Math expertise: A strong background in math, with a deep understanding of mathematical concepts and principles.

Skills and Competencies:

  • Math knowledge: A strong understanding of mathematical concepts, including algebra, geometry, trigonometry, and calculus.
  • Communication skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex math concepts in a clear and concise manner.
  • Interpersonal skills: Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with students, parents, and colleagues.
  • Time management: The ability to manage multiple tasks and responsibilities, prioritizing student needs and deadlines.

Compensation, Perks, and Benefits:
