We are currently seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Teacher to join our team, who shares our passion for classical education and commitment to student growth. As a teacher at Quest Collegiate Academy, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the academic, emotional, and social development of our students, working collaboratively with parents and colleagues to create a supportive and stimulating learning environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and deliver engaging, effective lessons that cater to diverse learning styles, utilizing classical traditional methods of instruction to promote intellectual, emotional, and social growth.
  • Assess student progress through formative and summative evaluations, providing constructive feedback and regular updates to parents via the school's online grading and communication tool.
  • Cultivate a well-organized, safe, and attractive learning environment that encourages curiosity, creativity, and critical thinking.
  • Develop and maintain positive relationships with students, parents, and colleagues, ensuring open communication and collaboration.
  • Provide academic interventions and support for students who require extra help, and work closely with Special Education and 504 teachers to implement accommodations.
  • Participate in faculty meetings, professional development workshops, and educational conferences to stay updated on best practices and contribute to the school's continuous improvement.
  • Sponsor student activities or organizations, assist with course selection, and offer guidance and counseling to students as needed.
  • Contribute to marketing and student recruiting efforts, as well as participate in special projects and events during and after school hours.

Requirements and Qualifications:

Education and Certification:

  • Texas State Teacher's Certification as Elementary Generalist or Elementary Self-Contained Teacher.
  • Bachelor's degree with a passing score on an ExCET/TExES Exam in the relevant grade level or content area.
  • Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education or a related field.
  • Bachelor's degree with an academic minor or major (minimum of 18 credit hours) in core academic subject areas.
  • Bachelor's degree and documented successful, relevant work experience in the content area, supported by a professional letter of recommendation.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in classical schools or classical education.
  • Familiarity with classical teaching curricula and methods.

  • Strong knowledge of instructional academic content.
  • Ability to model virtue and teach virtue through the curriculum.
  • Excellent organizational, time management, communication, and interpersonal skills.
