Tutor Position Details

As a Reading and Comprehension Clinician with Lindamood-Bell Learning Processes, you will play a vital role in providing one-to-one and small group instruction to students in our Hingham, MA learning center. This is a part-time position that requires a strong passion for education and a desire to make a positive impact on the lives of students. Prior teaching experience is not required, but a bachelor's degree is preferred. Associate's degree, Early Childhood Education certificate, or actively pursuing a degree is acceptable.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide one-to-one and small group instruction to students in a Lindamood-Bell Learning Center
• Implement specific lesson plans under the direction of Learning Center leadership
• Facilitate the use of the curriculum provided for Lindamood-Bell Academy students
• Interact positively and professionally with clients and staff to provide a safe and positive learning environment
• Manage client records electronically using a computer
• Utilize positive-reinforcement strategies to maximize learning and engagement

Requirements and Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree preferred; Associate's degree, Early Childhood Education certificate, or actively pursuing a degree is acceptable
• Excellent reading, spelling, and comprehension skills
• Basic computer skills and the ability to type notes about student performance
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities
• Monday - Friday availability; part-time schedule (less than 30 hours per week)
