About the Role: Lowe's Account Manager
We're looking for a skilled and motivated Account Manager to oversee our Lowe's account, developing and maintaining business relationships with Lowe's Merchandising Managers and Store Associates to achieve profitable sales goals and excellent customer service. As a remote sales professional, you'll have the opportunity to work from anywhere within the contiguous 48 states, with accessibility to a major airport.
Key Responsibilities:
- Build and maintain strong relationships with Lowe's Merchandising Managers, providing support, information, and guidance to drive sales growth and customer satisfaction.
 - Collect and analyze data to forecast store orders, trends, and opportunities, and manage stores' inventory to optimize sales and minimize waste.
 - Enter orders in Oracle Cloud Sales, ensuring accurate and timely processing.
 - Conduct annual reviews of SKU and store performance with merchants, identifying areas for improvement and opportunities for growth.
 - Communicate effectively with internal teams and Lowe's stakeholders, resolving any issues that may arise and ensuring seamless collaboration.
 - Collaborate with the Lowe's Senior Account Manager to prepare biennial offerings and quotes, aligning with business objectives and customer needs.
 - Travel to Lowe's store events and market visits, as well as to other Monrovia nurseries, as required to build relationships and drive sales growth.
 
Requirements and Qualifications:
To succeed in this role, you'll need:
- Sales experience in the horticultural marketplace and/or sales management experience in the garden center industry.
 - Plant knowledge or the ability to learn the horticultural industry sufficiently to communicate and negotiate with external stakeholders.
 - Proficiency in Microsoft 365 Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook, Teams, BI) and Oracle Cloud Sales.
 - Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills, with the ability to build strong relationships and communicate effectively with diverse stakeholders.
 - The ability to audit your own work, prioritize and complete multiple tasks with good follow-up, and work in a fast-paced environment.
 - A high tolerance for ambiguity, uncertainty, and diversity in the workplace.
 - Occasional travel to stores for plant stocking and creation of merchandise displays, with exposure to weather conditions.
 
Preferred Qualifications:
While not required, the following qualifications are preferred:
- Experience working with large retailers, such as Lowe's.
 - Knowledge of sales and marketing principles, with a focus on customer relationship management.
 - Experience with data analysis and forecasting, with the ability to drive business decisions.
