Job Summary
The Manager, Sales Development is responsible for developing and executing sales strategies to maximize profitable sales opportunities within large chain customers or channels. This role requires a strong understanding of the customer's business, as well as the ability to build enduring relationships with key decision-makers. The successful candidate will be able to analyze market trends, identify opportunities, and develop customized business plans that drive growth and profitability for both the customer and Coca-Cola Southwest Beverages LLC.
Key Responsibilities
- Customer Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers at large chain customers or channels, understanding their business needs and objectives.
 - Business Planning: Develop and execute customized business plans that drive growth and profitability for both the customer and Coca-Cola Southwest Beverages LLC, including annual business plans, pricing strategies, and promotional plans.
 - Sales Strategy: Identify and maximize profitable sales opportunities within large chain customers or channels, leveraging national and local marketing initiatives.
 - Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including marketing, finance, and operations, to develop and implement business plans and solutions.
 - Performance Measurement: Track daily, weekly, and monthly call activity and performance measurements against assigned goals and expectations.
 - Customer Events: Host customer events that help align ourselves better with the customer and drive business growth.
 - Problem-Solving: Solve issues that arise during execution and eliminate barriers to success.
 
Essential Qualifications
Education
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience with a high school diploma required.
 
Experience
- Minimum 3-5 years: Experience in the consumer goods industry, preferably in sales, marketing, or a related field.
 - Minimum 2 years: Experience in consumer products or direct store delivery sales, major account management.
 - Business Planning: Experience in developing successful annual business plans and pricing strategies for retail customers.
 - Analytical and Communication Skills: Strong analytical, organizational, planning, verbal, and written communication skills.
 - Computer Skills: Above-average computer skills, with experience in Microsoft Office and other productivity software.
 - Valid Driver's License: Valid driver's license and driving record within MVR policy guidelines.
 
Preferred Qualifications
- 2 years' experience: Experience in the Coca-Cola system.
 - Intermediate Computer Skills: Intermediate computer and database application skills.
 - Bilingual Ability: Bilingual ability (Spanish).
 - Budget Management: Experience managing budgets.
