About the New Verticals Team

The New Verticals team is a vital part of DoorDash's Merchant Services organization, focusing on creating and updating catalogs and menus for merchants to sell their products on our platform. As a Team Lead, you'll oversee a team of skilled support staff, ensuring they deliver top-notch service to our merchants and internal stakeholders. You'll work closely with your team to achieve operational KPIs, provide real-time feedback, and drive process improvements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead a motivated team of support staff, fostering a culture of customer success and operational excellence
  • Provide guidance and support to your team through regular 1-on-1 meetings, team meetings, and real-time feedback
  • Establish and track individual and team goals, ensuring alignment with operational KPIs
  • Coordinate daily workflow, adjusting resources to meet service level agreements and business needs
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement changes to enhance efficiency and quality
  • Develop and present performance reports to stakeholders, highlighting trends and areas for improvement
  • Collaborate with cross-functional partners to drive team success and achieve business objectives
  • Operate as a Subject Matter Expert, creating and distributing performance reports to inform business decisions

Essential Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you'll need:

  • Previous experience in a team lead or people management role, with a proven track record of motivating and developing high-performing teams
  • A strong understanding of operations, customer service, or a related field, with experience working in a fast-paced environment
  • Proficiency in Salesforce and Google Sheets, with the ability to learn and adapt to new tools and technologies
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to make data-driven decisions and balance competing priorities
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams

Preferred Qualifications

While not required, the following skills and experiences will give you a competitive edge:

  • Experience working in the technology or logistics industries, with a understanding of the challenges and opportunities in these sectors
  • A background in process improvement, with a proven track record of driving efficiency and quality enhancements
  • Experience working with data analysis and reporting tools, such as Mode or similar platforms
  • A strong understanding of customer service principles, with a focus on delivering exceptional experiences for merchants and internal stakeholders
