We're now seeking a highly skilled and motivated Military Logistics Engineering Maintenance Technician to join our Reliability Maintenance Engineering team, working remotely and being part of a dynamic team that maintains and optimizes technologies across the Global Amazon Warehouse & Delivery Network.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to leverage your military experience and technical skills in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. As a Military Logistics Engineering Maintenance Technician, you'll be responsible for ensuring the highest standards of equipment maintenance, focusing on planned preventative maintenance, and proactively addressing and resolving issues to minimize risks and maximize equipment availability and quality.

Key Responsibilities

  • Health & Safety First: Prioritize health & safety best practices in all work carried out, ensuring compliance with all health & safety standards and regulations.
  • Planned Preventative Maintenance: Carry out planned preventative maintenance on the full range of equipment within the site, ensuring high levels of equipment availability for our internal customers.
  • Breakdown Response: React quickly to breakdowns, communicate clearly with affected teams, and work efficiently to fix the issue, minimizing downtime and impact on operations.
  • Continuous Improvement: Support continuous improvement by learning from breakdowns and sending feedback and suggestions for improvements through the line manager.
  • Collaboration & Learning: Support and learn from Senior Reliability Engineering Technicians, and manage contractors effectively.

Basic Qualifications

To be considered for this role, you'll need:

  • Engineering Background: Served a full engineering indentured apprenticeship and/or qualified to a minimum of NVQ level 3 or equivalent (must hold Level 3 qualification with satisfactory Guided Learning Hours).
  • Multi-Skilled: Multi-skilled in both electrical and mechanical disciplines, with experience of planned preventative maintenance systems.
  • Fault Finding Experience: Experience fault finding within MHE (Material Handling Equipment)/Automation systems, and interpreting both mechanical and electrical drawings.
  • Conveyor Maintenance Experience: Experience of conveyor maintenance, motor controllers/inverters.

Preferred Qualifications

While not essential, the following qualifications and experiences will give you a competitive edge:

  • Higher Education: Apprentice Trained, HNC, HND, BSc, BEng or higher education qualifications in a relevant field.
  • High Voltage Switching: Experience of high voltage switching, sortation machines, and maintaining/configuring bar code scanners.
  • Print and Apply Machines: Experience of print and apply machines, and fault finding on building equipment i.e., HVAC, Dock Doors, plumbing, and general building maintenance tasks.
