About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Online Adjunct Instructor - Sterile and Non-Sterile Compounding to join our team of dedicated educators. As an Online Adjunct Instructor, you will play a vital role in teaching and mentoring students in the preparation of sterile and non-sterile compounds. Key Responsibilities
- Communicate effectively with students and provide feedback on their performance throughout the course
- Be available to students via phone, email, and individual appointments to provide academic assistance and support
- Respond to Dean/University staff in a timely manner regarding performance, student issues/concerns, or items needed for faculty file/accreditation needs
- Demonstrate professionalism, use of technology, and content expertise in teaching and learning
- Create a dynamic and active online classroom environment that promotes student engagement and learning
- Use effective teaching strategies and multiple teaching techniques to create an environment conducive to learning
- Develop and implement curriculum and assessment for the area of expertise
- Provide student support and outreach to ensure student success
- Attend faculty meetings and participate in committee work as agreed upon and/or designated by the Dean
- Complete a minimum of six (6) Rasmussen Educational Units (REUs) annually or two (2) REUs per quarter for each quarter taught
Essential Qualifications
- Associate's degree in Pharmacy, Pharmacy Technician, or related field
- CPhT, RPh, or PharmD certification
- Minimum of 3 years' experience in the field of study, with teaching experience preferred
- Self-motivated, flexible, and able to work in a team environment with minimal supervision
- Strong interpersonal skills to interact with students, leadership, and peers
- Excellent written communication and strong verbal communication skills in the English language
- Regular access to a computer with Windows XP or greater, Microsoft Office 2010, and an internet connection
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's degree in Pharmacy, Pharmacy Technician, or related field
- Experience in online teaching and learning
- Knowledge of competency-based education and technology-enhanced learning
- Experience in curriculum development and assessment
