We are seeking an experienced and motivated Online Sales Associate to join our team. As an Online Sales Associate, you will play a vital role in facilitating a positive buyer's journey for our self-service merchants. Your primary responsibilities will include assisting merchants through the sign-up process, from initial application to integration, and developing processes to continually improve adoption and customer experience. Key Responsibilities

  • Engage with potential and new merchant partners to assist them in completing the self-service application and integration process, ensuring a seamless onboarding experience.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to optimize the SMB merchant self-service experience, identifying areas for improvement and implementing scalable solutions.
  • Proactively identify stalled opportunities and take initiative to increase prospective merchant partner engagement, driving business growth and expansion.
  • Triage inbound SMB queue for routing to Outbound Sales or other channels, ensuring efficient and effective communication.
  • Develop standard practices and scalable processes for ongoing merchant engagement, focusing on customer satisfaction and retention.
  • Identify and communicate areas of opportunity for ongoing SMB merchant education and support, contributing to the development of training programs and resources.

Essential Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you should possess:

  • A strong passion for Affirm's mission and a genuine interest in e-commerce and/or finance, with a desire to make a positive impact in the industry.
  • Minimum 12 months of prior business development, sales, or comparable experience, with a proven track record of success in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
  • Well-developed verbal and written communication skills, with strong emotional intelligence (EQ) and the ability to build rapport with merchants and colleagues.
  • A willingness to take on greater responsibility, with a strong desire to work toward collective goals and contribute to the team's success.
