Job Overview
The Operator Manufacturing IV is a critical position within our production team, responsible for setting up, operating, monitoring, troubleshooting, and performing preventive maintenance on assigned machines. As a key member of our team, you will be expected to inspect parts, make adjustments or tool changes as necessary, and maintain quality specifications. You will also assist with setting up and operating production equipment, following established procedures and guidelines, and adjusting machine settings to complete tasks accurately and efficiently. As a peer leader for your assigned production line, you will provide training to new associates, lead peers, and communicate tasks and instructions to ensure maximum quality and productivity.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform necessary pre-operation activities on multiple pieces of equipment to ensure proper equipment startup and operation
- Operate multiple pieces of equipment, monitor equipment during operation, perform setup and changeover, inspect parts, and make adjustments or tool changes as necessary to maintain quality specifications
- Perform scheduled quality assurance tests, following good manufacturing practices, and communicate results with team members and support teams
- Perform housekeeping activities and sanitations on production equipment
- Provide training to new associates and lead peers on a production line, communicating tasks and giving instructions to ensure maximum quality and productivity
- Operate equipment, including Palletizing machines, Stretch Wrap machines, and computerized Pallet Tag machines
- Unload product from Palletizing machines, or load product directly into trailers using Radio Frequency (RF) Tablet
- Scan product while safely stacking product in Warehouse bin locations
Essential Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will need to possess a high school diploma or GED, as well as knowledge acquired through 1 to up to 3 years of work experience. You should have a technical, mechanical aptitude for initial basic troubleshooting, as well as the ability to lead peers and take on greater levels of leadership responsibility in the future. You must be able to work in a fast-paced, high-speed environment, follow standardized work, and adhere to safe work practices in a continuous improvement environment.

- Must be able to lift at least 25 lbs., stand on feet for prolonged periods of time, and climb stairs as needed
- Weekend work will be required, including some holidays as scheduled to support customer demand
- Equipment noise is elevated, requiring the use of hearing protection
- Seasonal temperatures can be expected

Compensation and Benefits
