As the initial point of contact for prospective students, you will play a crucial role in assessing their educational needs, providing detailed information about our programs, and supporting them throughout the application process. Key Responsibilities

  • Initial Point of Contact: Serve as the first point of contact for prospective students considering enrollment at SGU, providing a warm and welcoming experience.
  • Communication and Outreach: Handle inbound and outbound outreach via calls, texts, emails, and other communication channels to engage prospective students and provide information about our programs.
  • Assessing Educational Needs: Assess prospective students' educational goals and match them to SGU programs and differentiators, ensuring a personalized and informed experience.
  • Goal Setting and Follow-up: Assist students in setting short-term goals and follow up with them to ensure they're on track to achieve their objectives.
  • Program Knowledge: Maintain a high level of knowledge about SGU programs, services, and market competitors, communicating information with confidence and transparency.
  • Guidance and Support: Provide guidance and support during the initial enrollment process, addressing any questions or concerns prospective students may have.
  • Overcoming Obstacles: Identify, understand, and respond to difficulties and overcome obstacles encountered in the enrollment process, ensuring a smooth and seamless experience.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Maintain regular communication with the In-House and Field Teams and their leadership to facilitate referrals, escalations, and encourage attendance at recruitment events.
  • Technology and Data Management: Utilize multiple technology platforms to track all communication and interactions with prospective students, ensuring accurate and up-to-date records.
  • Administrative Tasks: Perform miscellaneous administrative tasks and projects as needed, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability.

Essential Qualifications

Education

  • Bachelor's Degree: A Bachelor's degree is preferred, although not required.

Experience

  • Education-Related Experience: 2+ years of experience in an education-related field, preferably in admissions, recruitment, or advising.

Skills and Competencies

  • Admissions and Recruitment Skills: Strong admissions, recruiting, or customer service skills, with the ability to engage and connect with prospective students from diverse backgrounds and life stages.
  • Self-Motivation: Self-motivated with an interest in working to help others achieve their educational goals.
  • Fast-Paced Environment: Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • Technology Skills: Knowledge of Salesforce or other Customer Relationship Management software (CRM), with excellent organizational, project, and time management skills.
  • Communication Skills: Adept at listening and communicating, both verbally and in writing, with a strong focus on providing exceptional customer service.

Schedule and Pay

  • Part-Time Schedule: A typical work week is 20 hours, with a schedule that includes Monday through Friday 5-8 pm EST and/or Saturdays 10am-3pm EST.
  • Pay: $26.15 - $30.77 per hour, depending on experience.
