Job Summary
We are seeking a meticulous and self-motivated individual to fill the role of a part-time Data Entry Clerk. As a Data Entry Clerk, you will play a key role in the smooth operation of our company by ensuring that our data remains current, accurate, and easily accessible. You will be responsible for maintaining our database by accurately and efficiently entering new and updated customer and account information.
Responsibilities
- Preparing, compiling, and sorting documents for data entry
- Checking source documents for accuracy
- Verifying data and correcting data where necessary
- Entering data from source documents into prescribed computer database, files, and forms
- Maintaining logbooks or records of activities and tasks
- Responding to requests for information and accessing relevant files
Requirements
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel
- Excellent typing speed and accuracy
- Attention to detail and ability to spot errors
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience in data entry or similar role is preferred
Preferred Qualifications
While previous experience in data entry or a similar role is preferred, we are also open to enthusiastic beginners who are willing to learn and can quickly adapt to new environments. A higher degree in a related field would be a plus, but not required.
